''Nuqila hādhā al-kitāb al-sharīf min nuskhah nuqilat min nuskhah nuqilat min khaṭṭ al-muṣannif illā annahā lā takhlū min alsaqam wa-al-taṣfīḥāt [i.e. al-taṣḥīfāt] lākinnī ijtahdtu fī taṣḥīḥihi bi-qadr al-istiṭāʻāt bi-yad al-ʻabd al-faqīr ʻAlī ibn Ḥusayn al-mulaqqab bi-Kamāl al-Shīrāzī fī baldat Aṭanah ʻalá sabīl al-istiʻjāl ʻinda al-irtiḥāl fī ḍaḥwat yawm al-Aḥad al-sābiʻ ʻashar min Rajab sanat tisʻ wa-thalāthīn watis ʻimiʼah bi-ḥamd Allāh wa-ḥusn tawfīqih wa-al-ṣalāh wa-al-salām ʻalá Muḥammad khayr khalqih wa-ʻalá ālihi wa-aṣḥābih.''

''نقل هذا الكتاب الشريف من نسخة نقلت من نسخة نقلت من خط المصنف إلّا أنها لا تخلو من السقم والتصفيحات [أي التصحيفات] لكني اجتهدت في تصحيحه بقدر الاستطاعات بيد العبد الفقير علي بن حسين الملقّب بكمال الشيرازي في بلدة أطنة على سبيل الاستعجال عند الارتحال في ضحوة يوم الأحد السابع عشر من رجب سنة تسع وثلاثين وتسعمائة بحمد الله وحسن توفيقه والصلاة والسلام على محمد خير خلقه وعلى آله وأصحابه.''
