Manuscript description
Information obtained from the library’s catalog: “Die Arabischen, Persischen Und Türkischen Handschriften Der Kaiserlich-königlichen Hofbibliothek Zu Wien: Im Auftrage Der Vorgesetzten K.k. Behörde”. (By Prof. Dr. Gustav Flugel, 1865). Additional information was obtained from Muḥammad ʿĀyish’s Catalog “Fihris al-Makhṭūṭāt al-ʿArabīya fī al-Maktaba al-Waṭanīya al-Nimsāwīya” (Publisher: Muʾassasat al-Saqīfa al-ʿIlmīya (Jeddah), 2008). The manuscript is divided into two parts. The folios f.3b-403b contains the first volume (entries starts with the name Ibrāhīm and ends with the name Ṭushtumur). The folios f.2b-430b contains the first volume (entries starts with the name Ṭaṭar and ends with the name Yūnus). Folios f.430b-432a contain a biography of the author written by his student Aḥmad b. Ḥusayn al-Turkumānī al-Ḥanafī (the copyist of the base manuscript).
