Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. Both covers have a central blind stamped scalloped mandorla filled with an arabesque, and outlined in gold with radiating flecks. Outer border consists of a large gilloche and fillets in gold. Silver-sparkled paper pastedowns. Marble paper fly-leaf. Spine broken and partly wanting ; lower cover detached.

Information obtained from the library's online catalog. Also, the printed catalog was consulted (i.e “Fihrist al-Makhṭūṭāt al-ʿArabīya fī Jāmiʿat Brinistūn: Majmūʿat Jārīt” (Translated by: Muḥammad ʿĀayish). Volume 7, p. 175. The text is framed within two lines in red (gold on fol. f.1b-2a and 436a). Illuminated title page (f.1a). Illuminated headpiece with basmalla (f.1b). Several inscriptions, including ownership and waqf statements, and kabīkaj, on f.1a. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits a fol. between fol. 429 and 430). The quires are numbered using Arabic numerals.

Waqf in the name of al-Ḥājj Aḥmad Pāshā al-Jazzār for his Jāmiʿ, called Nūr al-Aḥmadīyah [in Acre], dated 1200 AH. [1785 or 6 CE], with waqf-seal (f. 1a). Ownership statement dated [1]151 AH, with seal on f. 1a. Inscription on fol. (i)b. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942 CE.
