Not extensive use of the margins: few commentary notes, several corrections, and announcements of names and topics discussed in the main text. Some comments are missing because the edges of the papers were cut. The organization of the first 4 folios are quite unorthodox! The first folio (f.1a) has the title of the book written in pen. The folios f.1b, f.2a, and f.2b are empty. The folio f.3a has well-illuminated titelpiece executed in gold, red, and blue (a golden mihrabiye decorated with geometric shapes) which has the title of the book, and contains the first page of the work. The folio f.3b was originally empty and has the title of the book and the author’s name written in pen, along with several ownership statements. The folio f.4a contains the second page of the book. There is an added part at the end of the work (f.155b-f.157b) which describes a mufākhara between pomegranate seeds and rice on a table before they got eaten. The first flyleaf has the date: 24 July. 1877 written on it in French.
