Binding: Restored brown morocco with a central medallions (of 85 mm in diameter) cold stamped decorated with a six-pointed star and a frame decorated by curved irons.. The flap has a 70 mm medallion, a six-pointed star decoration different from that of the covers, and decorated with lines of leaf patterns and dots. The gutter is divided into three compartments by each decorated with a rosette.
Manuscript description
The book has a wrong title which says that this is the history of al-Sakhāwī (f.1a). Not extensive use of the margins: commentary notes and corrections. The topics discussed in the main text are highlighted in the margins. Quires gathering are mostly Quinions (however the 1st , 3rd , 16th , 19th , 25th and 26th notebooks are quaternions, and the 17th has just eleven sheets). Reading notes of: [Abū Jaʿfar Muḥammad b.] Muḥammad b. Manṣūr al-Ḥusaynī dated 883 AH in Aleppo (f.1a;f.290b); Shaykẖ al-Islām Abū Dharr b. al-Muḥaddiṯh (on f.290b); ʿAbd al-Bāsiṭ al-Kutubī in Ramadan 906 AH (f. 290b); Aḥmad b. (…) (f. 291v). The price of the book is mentioned on f.1a which is 12 Qurūsh.
