Manuscript description
The title page contains a short biography of Maqrīzī copied from the author's note in his book (Durar al-ʿUqūd al-Farīda fī Tarājim al-Aʿyān al-Mufīda). frequent commentary notes and corrections in the margins. Completion of the main text in the margins. The topics discussed in the main text are highlighted in the margins (especially about the churches of Egypt). The first folio has the date: 26 August 1874 written in Latin.
