Manuscript description
The edges of the papers are slightly cut. Some papers are harmed by bookworms but still legible. Almost no correction notes. Some commentary notes only in the first two folios. Sometimes, the sentences of the main text are completed in the margins. The first folio has many linguistic notes on its margins and the words ''al-Muṣbāḥ al-Munīr'' are written beneath them. There is a draw of the four original directions on the margins of f.1a. The firs folios (which is not counted on the total number of the book's folios), there are some notes of whether it is legally acceptable for women to be judges and/or Sultans and the unknown person concludes the it is permissible citing the example of Shajar al-Durr who ruled Egypt from May-July 1250 CE. There is also Latin Writings on the same folio. The name of the book is written on the sides of the paper. There is a reading note (perhaps written by Abū Bakr says:
“رأيت كتابا آخر في التاريخ المسمى (...) السلوك في معرفة الملوك
