Manuscript description
Slightly damaged decorated title page executed in blue, red, gold, and black (rectangular frame with a top cartouche containing the first half of the title and central medallion containing the author's name). Note on f.10b by the Egyptian historian ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Jabartī comparing his shaykh Maḥmūd al-Kurdī who died in 1195/1780 to a shaykh mentioned in the main text. This suggests that the manuscript probably came to Europe only during the nineteenth century or later.
