Qalāʾid al-Jumān fī al-Taʿrīf bi-Qabāʾil ʿArab al-Zamān

Title page is decorated in gold and blue in a descending triangle. Page 2 (numbered as page 1), the verso of the title page, has an elaborately drawn headpiece in gold and blue with detailed floral patterns in red, white, and gold. The margins contain: some correction notes and in the first pages also extensive section markers. There are consultation notes on the title page. One is by Ibn Mukhliṣ Ismaʿīl (sic) ʿAzbān Qazadughlī. A person with a very similar name is also attested on another manuscript of the same text held by the Dār al-kutub (Tārīkh 329), and by piecing together parts of these names we may tentatively identify this reader as the seventeenth century amir Ḥasan Kutakhdā ʿAzbān, or someone related to him. Another reader is a certain Muḥammad Muḥammad […] b. Maḥmūd b. Muḥammad Mukhtār al-Ḥusaynī, known as al-Khaṭṭāb, who further identifies himself as being from the Āl ʿAbd al-Manāf Sulaymān […] Saʿīd b. Shabr. On page 221, there is note by the famous lexicographer Muḥammad Murtaḍā al-Ḥusaynī al-Wāsiṭī al-Zabīdī (d. 1205/1790), dated to 1174 AH/1761-2 CE. The flyleaf contains an unrelated paper about what to say before going to sleep.
