Manuscript description
The margins contain some commentary notes: on 28a someone claims that the punishment described in the main text for someone who did not believe in the authenticity of all ḥadīth was justified both in this and the next world, and on 49a there is a note about agriculture in Egypt during the reign of ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ. Though an early copy, this is not an autograph, as a note on 316b informs of some blank lines in the source manuscript (“bayāḍ fī l-aṣl”).

Two identical seals on 2a and 325b state that the manuscript was bequeathed as a waqf by “al-sayyid Aḥmad al-Ḥusaynī b. al-sayyid Aḥmad b. al-sayyid Yūsuf al-Ḥusaynī” in 1323 AH/1905-6 CE.
