Manuscript description
Margins contain: regular notes and additions, on some pages very extensively so (especially on pp. 35-44), often announced by “ḥ sh” (ḥāshiyya). Leafs are mostly loose throughout the volume. It seems that this part of Ibn Taghrībirdī’s work was at an earlier point part of a majmūʿa as a confusing note on the title page announces the work in fact to be a “History of Egypt” written by Ibn Khallikān, which includes a part of “[Mawrid] al-Laṭāfa fī Dhikr al-Khilāfa” (''Kitāb Tārīkh Miṣr li-Ibn Khallikān fī-hi [juzʾ?] min al-Laṭāfa fī dhikr al-Khilāfa''). T The text is preceded by a three-page poem entitled “Manāsik al-Ḥajj” and written by a certain Ghanīm b. Ṣāliḥ al-Kafrāwī. The last page (90) has two notes announcing the end of the text: “hādhā mā intahā ilay-nā min akhbār al-mulūk”.
