Manuscript description
Three volumes under the same call number but produced at different dates. Volume 1: Ruqʿa script. Black ink with red rubrication. Writing surface: mostly 247x185mm, but highly variable, elsewhere for example 235x150mm. Modern notebook lined paper. Colophon is dated to 26 Shaʿbān 13[37] / May 27, 1919 and was copied by Muḥammad Ḥāmid al-Fijjī (?). Below the colophon there is also a consultation note dated to December 21, 1958. Volume 2 is dated to May 2, 1888 and is noted to have been copied from the manuscript “Tārīkh 1009” in Dār al-Kutub al-Ashrafiyya l-Kubrā. The colophon from that original is copied and dated to 16 Ramaḍān 872 / April 9, 1468. Volume 3: Naskh script. Black with red rubrication. Writing surface: 200x90mm. Margins contain: correction notes as well as the corresponding pages from the original manuscript. This manuscript is noted to have been “6Q Tārīkh” in Dār al-Kutub al-Malikiyya. The colophon is dated to 16 Shawwāl 1367 / August 8, 1938 and notes the copyist as Ibrāhīm Basyūnī al-Ṭaḥlāwī.
