Manuscript description
Naskh script. Black ink (titles and keywords are rubricated in red). Sometimes keywords are overlined in red). Red dots and inverted commas to mark poetry and sajʿ. Writing Surface 220x135 mm. Oriental papers. Very extensive use of the margins for anouncements of the topics, corrections, or notes which are mostly in Ottoman Turkish. The edges of the papers were slightly trimmed. Colophon of the copyist written in 850 AH. Undated ownership statement of certain Husayn (who is known as ?) f.1a. There are several prayers and basmala's on the first folio and the last two folios. There are several notes about the death dates of Ottoman Sultans (and how long they reigned), and the dates in which the Ottomans conquered (noted as fatḥ) certain cities (e.g مصر, رودس, كليبو لي, بلغراد) f.1a, f.146b, and f.147a. Long note written in Ottoman Turkish f.147a (973AH). Long poetry f.147a. Long note in Ottoman Turkish probably discussing a prayer atributed to the first Caliph Abu Bakr f.147a. All over the manuscript, there are notes on Turkish which seems unrelated to the topics of the book. There is a note abouth the murder of Aḥmad Pasha al-Najjār in 993 AH (f.1a).
