Manuscript description
Not entirely sure if the mukhtaṣar is written by the author or a later author did a mukhtaṣar of Ibn Taghrī birdī's work. A majmūʿ which contains 9 works, but some of them are lost (e.g al-Muqniʿ min Akhbār Mulūk Makka al-Khulafāʾ, al-Nuzha al-Saniyya fimā Yuṭlab min akhbār al-Mulūk wa-Khalafāʾ al-Diyār al-Miṣrīya). The rest of the works are: al-Manẓūma al-Manqūla min kitāb nuzhat al-Anām; al-Mustaẓraf min Safar Mawlānā al-Ashraf; al-Maqāma al-Badīʿīya fī Waṣf Jamāl al-Maʿālim al-Makkiya; al-Hadiyya al-Ṣāliḥa wa-l-Naṣīḥa al-Wāḍiḥa; al-Luʾluʾ wa-l-Marjān fī Waṣf al-Wazīr Sulaymān Pasha al-Mulaqqab ʾĀṣif Khān; al-Tuḥfa al-Laṭīfa fī ʿImarat al-Masjid al-Nabawī wa-Sūr al-Madīna al-Sharīfa. Probably the entire majmūʿ is written on the same paper (but not sure if it is written by the same copyist). The folio f.1b has an ornate headpiece executed in gold, red and blue. There are various decorative elements around the frame, which was executed in gold and green at the start of the manuscript, but then in blue, green, yellow, and crimson ink for the following folios. Almost clean margins: few correction notes. In few instances, the text is completed in the margins. There are pieces of silk attached which helps to flip the pages to the start of each work in the collection.
