Margins contain: few correction notes, and announcements of the topics discussed in the main text. Sometimes, the sentences in the main text are completed in the margins. Folding of the sheets: Quarto. There is a note on f.359b which quotes Ibn Ḥajar saying that he has finished writing this book in the year of 837 AH except few information which he has added later (and that there are some tarājim which he still has to collect from the Zawāyā). Then the copyist also quotes Ibn Ḥajar saying that he need to consult some sources such as: Tārīkh Miṣr (of al-Quṭb al-Ḥalabī); Muʿjam al-Dhahabī al-Kabīr; Akhbār al-Yaman (of al-Muwaffaq al-Khazrajī al-Zubaydī); Muʿjam Naql Ibn Rāfiʿ and al-Wafayāt of Ibn Rāfiʿ; Dhayl al-Dhayl of Abū al-Ḥusayn b. Aybak; Ṭabaqāt al-Mālikīya (of Ibn Farḥūn); Ṭabaqāt al-Shāfiʿīya (of al-Maṭarī) which owned by (i.e. ʿind) walad al-Murjānī in Mecca; al-Badr al-Shāfī and Ṭāliʿ al-Saʿīd (of al-Kamāl); and Tārīkh al-Maqrīzī. There is a note on f.1a by the copyist saying that he has copied this manuscript from a copy written by the author’s student Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sakhāwī. The title and colophon are written in red and black (in the shape of descended triangle). There is a note on f.1a says that the number of folios of this manuscript is 387 (while it is 360 now). Old TKSM stamp (in Arabic letters) in the inside of the upper cover. The title of the book is written on a paper glued to the fore-edge flap. The number 27 is written on the edges of the papers which seem like it is some sort of organizational scheme.
