Black leather with a stamped turanj, and a decorated flap. The inside of the covers are yellow papers, and there are white papers glued between the covers and the first and last folios of the codex.
Manuscript description
Papers are harmed by bookworms but they are still mostly legibly (except f.1). The number of quires is noted on f.1a that is 25 quires and two-fifths. Margins contain: Several correction notes (and there are several notes which state that this book was compared to the author’s autograph). Completion of the text in the margins. The folio f.1b has the following words
“ وقف درخانه كيلار؟”

Waqf statement on f.1a of “al-Janāb al-ʿālī al-amīrī al-kabīrī al-ʿalāʾī (i.e Sa ʿd b. ʿAlāʾ al-Dawala?) najal al-maqarr (…?) ṭūghān al-Nayrūzī al-ashrafī (aʿazza allāhu anṣārih wa-khatama bi-l-ṣāliḥāt aʿmālih). TKSM stamp on f.1a. Waqf stamp of “Hamayūn Khazanah”? in 1213 AH (f.1a). Old stamp of Topkapi (in Arabic letters), and a modern TKSM stamp on a flyleaf before the work.
