Brown leather fully decorated by arabesque themes and gold-tooled, and a decorated (a star inside a circle) gold-tooled flap. The inside of the covers are white papers, and there are white papers glued between the covers and the first and last folios of the codex.
Manuscript description
The title reads “al-Juzʾ al-Thānī alladhī ʿAllaqahtahu min tārīkh al-ʿĀlam li-l-Jamālī Yūsuf b.(…). Quire gathering: mostly quinion. Papers are harmed by bookworms but they are still mostly legibly. Margins contain: Mostly correction notes. Many folios are harmed by water stains which rendered parts of them illegible. Title is written in pen in the inside of the upper cover. The word “waqf” is repeated on several folios throughout the manuscript.
