Brown leather with full-cover decoration executed with small tool (decorated turanj, pendants, frame, and corner-pieces painted in gold) and decorated envelope flap tucked under the upper cover. The inside covers are brown leather decorated by geometrical shapes. attached to the first and last folios of the codex. Two stubs at the end and beginning of the codex.
Manuscript description
Margins contain: several commentary notes, correction notes, and highlighting the topics discussed in throughout the manuscript. The Kurrās number is written in the upper left side of the recto folios (quinion gathering). Starts with an index of the topics. The folio f.2a has well-illuminated titelpiece executed in gold, green, luminous orange, red, and blue (mix of vegetal and geometric shapes) which has the title of the book written on the upper part, and the author’s name written on the lower part. The catch-title is written on the edges of the manuscript.

Ownership statement of Muḥammad Aḥmad ʾĪnāl al-ʿAlāʾī al-Dawadār on f.3a. An ownership stamp of the library of Sultan Ahmet III (f.1a). Old TKSM stamp. TKSM stamp on f.1a. Tughra of Sultan Sulaymān on f.1a and f.203b. There is also a central rosette which contains the following ex-libris inscription “برسم خزانة الجناب العالي المحبي محب الدين محمد بن الجناب العالي المرحوم الشهابي أحمد بن اينال العلاي الداوادار الحنفي”.
