Dark brown leather decorated by small tools (a central medallion with a draw of a star inside it, pendants, and a frame). The upper cover is worn-out.
Manuscript description
Margins contain: correction notes, commentary notes. There are several notes after the end of the book mainly about Sultan Jaqmaq. However, after the end of the text someone wrote “naqalahu Muḥammad b. Rajab al-Zahrī” in 898. Reading notes of: Muḥammad Kurkumās al-Ḥanfī (f.1a); Muḥammad ʿAlī al-Maymūnī in 871 AH (in addition to two poetry verses he has written after reading the book) f.1a; Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Qādir (al-Laythī????) al-Miṣrī al-Shāfiʿī in (most ?70 probably 870 AH); (Taghrībarmash?) Al-Faqīh on (f.1a)
(في سنة د ل ض) (might be 834 AH?).
