Manuscript description
The folio f.1a has an illuminated rectangular panel executed in gold, brown, and blue which has an upper cartouche that contains the title of the book, four corner pieces, and a central rosette that contains the rest of the title and the author’s name. There is a golden medallion next to the upper left side of the rectangular panel. Margins contain some correction notes. The topics discussed in the main text are sometimes highlighted in red in the margins. Sometimes, the main text is completed in the margins.

Written for the library of Sayyid Muḥammad (sibṭ) of the Sultan al-Ashraf Īnāl and the son of Bardbek al-Dawadār al-Sayfī (يرسم خزانة المقر الأشرفي الكريمي المتعالى المولوي السيدي المالكي المخدومي الناصري سيد محمد سبط مولانا السلطان السعيدالشهيد الأشرفي اينال سقى الله عهده صوب الرحمة و الرضوان و نجل المقر الأشرف المرحوم السيفي بردبك الدوادار كان تغمده الله برحمته و اعز جناب المقر الناصري المشار إليه بعزه؟ و حفظه في نفسه و عياله ومن يلوذ بستر لا إله الا الله) (f.212b):Waqf of the Sultan Maḥmūd Ghāzī written by (…?)
