Manuscript description
Illuminated manuscript. Headpiece: rectangular panel (with a blank golden cartouche) crowned by a dome and surrounded by a vegetal decoration. The manuscript ends with a short biography of Maqrīzī and discusses the question of his ancestry. Very few corrections in the margins. Completion of the sentences in the margins. The topics of each page are highlighted in the margins (and sometimes the persons' names as well). Poetry verses are framed. The first folio has the date: 22 August 1874 written in Latin.
