Incomplete at the end. Some passages have been scratched (f 3, 81v). Anonymous and undated copy. According to F. Hours and K. Salibi (page 10 of the 1969 edition), the manuscript would be an autograph. However, some notes in the margins clearly indicate that the copyist is not the author (f 38v, 40, 88, 129v)
Naskh script. Words completed in the margin. Few notes and corrections in the margins. Black ink. Headings and keywords are rubricated in red or gold. Papers are not watermarked.Writing surface 135x105mm. Ownership statements of: Muḥammad b. Rajab; ʿAlī al-Sharīf (in Tūnis) in 1098 AH; Aḥmad b. (fa?) al-Būnī (al-Tamīmī?) who mentions that he has obtained it legally. Colophon of Aḥmad b. ʿUmar al-Sūsī al-Rāwdī al-Tūnisī al-Mālikī al-Ashʿarī. European binding. Reading marks of: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Muṣṭafā Qāḍī Zādeh; Aḥmad b. Yaḥyā b. Abī Bakr dated 962 h / 1554; other marks of reading whose name has been scratched, other marks struck out, where one can still read Ibrāhīm b. ʿAbd al-Munʿim [...] al-Fawārisī. Ownership statements: Muḥammad, known as Ṭawānī dated 1035 AH; [... ] Faqīh Shamlāl al-Gharb al-Shāfiʿī al-Fawārisī (f 2). Notes by: Etienne Baluze and a mention of a report by Joseph de Guignes in 1790 (f.2); Joseph Ascari dated 1735, with addition of Joseph-Toussaint Reinaud.
