Manuscript description
Red dots and inverted commas around poetry hemistichs. Several commentary and correction notes in the margins (but not very extensive), and (in few instances) announcements of the names and topics discussed in the main text. Quranic verses are underlined.
- Ownership Statement
Ownership statement of (…?) b. Aḥmad Ṣāliḥ Jāwīsh (…?) Qardaghlī? Who mentions that this manuscript is written for him (in 1164 AH), and it is copied from another manuscript which was stolen from him. Also, he says that the base manuscript was copied from an autograph of the author (f.1a). Ownership statement of ʿAbdullah b. Turāb al-Ḥusaynī al-Rifāʿī (the son of the late) ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullah b. Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Rab al-Nabī b. ʿAbd al-Jalīl (who is one of the descendants of) “Sīdī” ʿAlī al-Khaṭṭāb al-Tūnsī (the son of al-ʿĀrif bi-allāh) Abī Midyan al-Tilmisānī in 1206AH (f.1a). for unclear stamps (f.1a). Modern binding. Bequest of J.L. Burckhardt (1784-1817) in 1819.
