Possession notes on f. 1r (qāḍī in Antioch), 1v (a certain Muḥammad, dated to 1097/1685-6), 2r (Aḥmad al-Rabbāṭ al-Ḥalabī Abū Ḥasan al-Shaqīfātī al-Shāfiʿī, owner of several manuscripts between 1202/1788-1252/1836), 2r (Muḥammad (...) b. al-sayyid ʿAlī), and one reading note on f. 2r (ʿAbd al-(...) b. (...) Ḥabīb al-K-l-#-ī). Several correction notes and marginal additions throughout the text, noted on f 51r as being by Abū al-Yumn al-Batrūnī (d. 1636, "ḥāshiyya ʿalā l-hāmish li-Abū al-Yumn al-Batrūnī) but on f 101r as being "by [the book's] compiler and writer" ("ḥāshiya li-jāmiʿ-hu wa-kātib-hu") relevant to the question of the work's disputed authorship. Binding: Material : Reddish-brown Oriental leather binding; spine has been renewed in brown leather; central ornament of the covers: small mandorla with lobed perimeter and an infill of leafy scrolls and two fleuron pendants; frame consists of a line pattern; doublures made of coloured paper with a silver floral pattern. Yellowish-white paper. Watermark: Horn in a escutcheon with a crown above. Writing surface 135x 70mm
