Manuscript description
Folio's 92 and 96-97 are left blank for unclear reasons. Clean copy with very few corrections. Changes of alphabetical entry range announced in pronounced bold layout. Qif notes in a different hand on 45b, 51b, and 130a announcing specific information. Notes on the cover sheet announce the work as ''Rawḍat al-ʿUlamā''' and as ''Kitāb quḍāt Miṣr al-Islām''. Another difficult to read note is likely poetry.
- Ownership Statement
The title page contains a khedival seal (also on 285b) as well as the seal of Aḥmad al-Subkī dated to 1151 AH. Another note on the title page informs that the work was bought in the year 1881 Muḥammad b. Muḥammad al-al-Jazā'irī Shihāb al-ʿInābī, presumably a son of the famous Algerian statesman, for the price of four dinar.
