Manuscript description
Digital copy consulted. Regular corrections throughout, but in a different hand. Some notes (f.97a, f.111a and f.144a) are announced as ''ḥāshiyyat bi-khaṭṭ al-muṣannif''. On f.208a there is a note commenting that a note given in the book is close to the author's own writing of the book. The first volume ends on f.248a after which an appendix follows announced ''wujida bi-khaṭṭ al-muṣannif raḥima-hu Allah mā naṣṣi-hi.''
- Ownership Statement
The manuscript was bequeathed to the Azhar library by Ḥassan b. Muḥammad b. Ḥusayn al-Shamsī as part of a waqf, specifically for the riwāq al-Riyāfa in the al-Zāhir neighborhood. The waqf statement is repeated on several pages throughout the manuscript.
