Manuscript description
Digital copy consulted. The last five folio’s seem to be an appendix of sorts, also attributed to Ibn ʿArabshāh. The very last folio f.168b contains a tabulated list of various works, of which the present work is the second, perhaps a library list of a small personal book collection. The manuscript contains a number of remarkable layout features: f.152a has a picture of a chessboard, f.157b has a rendering of the Uyghur alphabet. There are only few correction notes.
- Ownership Statement
Title page contains a note by a certain Muḥammad Najl (?) dated to 1287, as well as a two-line poem. This page also has two faded stamps of the Azhar library, as well as a clear stamp (twice) dated to 1316 and reading: “waqafa hādhā l-kitāb waratha-hu […] Sulaymān Bāshā […] bi-l-jāmiʿ al-Azhar”. These stamps are repeated on f.167a.

The colophon of the work notes that the work was completer in Jumādā al-Ūlā of 1275 (December 1858).
