Manuscript description
There is another volume of the work under the same class mark. Extensive notes, announcements of the topics (often in red), corrections (often in black) in the margins. The copyist uses red to reproduce the comments he found in the base manuscript. The colophon of the base manuscript (which says that it has been written 876 AH) on f.217a. There is a note quoting the author says: ''
قال مؤلفه الحافظ الامام ابن حجر فرغ منه جامعه سوى ما ألحق به بعد تاريخ فراغه في شهر () سنة ثلاثين و ثمان مايه و ألحقت فيه الى سنة سبع و ثلاثين و لم يكمل الغرض من الإلحاق لبقايا من التراجم في الزوايا لم أستوعبها بعد أعان الله تعالى على استكمال ذلك بمنه و كرمه آمين آمين أمين''
- Ownership Statement
Ownership statement of al-Shaykh Aḥmad Muḥammad al-Dīrūṭī who bought it from (“ Monsieur Kramer” [i.e. al-misyū Krīmar] the Austrian minister of commerce [i.e. wazīr al-tijāra b-bīlād al-nimsā] and costed him 40000. Four Khedival library stamps (f.1a, f.1b, f.217b).

The copyist says that he compared this copy of the manuscript with the base manuscript and made sure that the manuscript he wrote is a correct one (in the 5th of Rabīʿ I 1298 AH).
