Manuscript description
The author's introduction is longer than the one in the printed book in which the author explains further the books which he wrote. Very few correction notes, and several commentary notes. F.1a has ottoman or Persian poetry. There are three taqārīẓ praising al-Fāsī and his work written by: 1- Walī al-Dīn Abū Zarʿa b. al-Ḥusayn al-ʿIrāqī al-Maṣrī al-Shāfiʿī 2- Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī in Shaʿbān 820 AH (who mentions that the al-Fāsī was still alive at this time as he says ''Ḥafiẓahu allāh'' after the latter’s name) 3- Sharaf al-Dīn Ismāʿīl al-Maqrī al-Yamanī. There is a note on f.126b which says that the author made a summary of this work in Mecca in Rajab 819 AH, and added parts to it. This note also suggests that the author was alive when it was written.
- Ownership Statement
Ownership statement of Ḥasan Ḥalabī (f.1a) and one effaced ownership stamp in f.126a. British Muesum stamps (f.127b, f.1b). There is a note typed on added paper at the end of the book says: ''Bought of (...) Nahman. 14 June 1924''.
