Manuscript description
Naskh script. Black ink (the titles, names, and overlinings are rubricated in red). Writing Surface 215x 133 mm (framed by golden line in the first two pages then by a red line for the rest of the manuscript). Oriental papers. Not very extensive use of the margins (very few corrections) and sevral commentary notes throughout the manuscript, and continuation of the text in the margins. There is a note by a certain person named Muḥammad Amīn (f.328b). There is a noteon f.311a by someone who says that the person discussed in the main text (i.e. ʿAbdullah b. ʿAbdullah al-ʿAfīf who is known as al-Ashrafī) was his “ṣihr” and his [true] name was Shāhīn. No colophon. No ownership statements. British Muesum stamps (f.370b, f.1a). There is a brief modern table of content on added paper at the beginning of the work. There is a note on f.1a says ""Tārīkh Ibn Ḥajar. Its price is 30 (...?).Binidng: brown leather with central golden turanj engraved in the bookcover.
