Manuscript description
Naskh script. Black ink. Red rubrication and overlining, and red inverted commas and dots around poetry hemistichs. Writing Surface 200x120 mm. Papers are slightly trimmed. Oriental Papers (some of them are tinted in light brown). Margins contain: few correction notes, completion of sentences in the margins, and consistent mentioning of “Buḥūr al-Shiʿr” which the poetry written in. Consistent use of catchwords. The last word of many lines are elongated and written upward diagonally, and over-lined. Sometimes, the comments are written in a zigzag shape. Colophon of Muḥammad b. Naṣrallah b. Ḥasan al-Ḥanafī, who copied it from a manuscript which was reviewed based on the author's autograph, dated 867 AH (علق هذه النسخة من نسخة قوبلت بأصل المصنف محرره صحيحه معتبره ...فقير رحمه ربه محمد بن نصر الله بن حسن الحنفي ...وذلك في يوم الثلثا المبارك تاسع شهر ذي القعدة الحرام سنة سبع و ستين و ثماني ماية) f.111a. An ownership stamp stamp of Sultan Ahmet III library (f.1a). TKSM stamp on f.1a. There is an invocation against book worms “Sāriq māriq ḥāriq iḥbis ḥayā yā kabīkaj yā kabīkaj” , and old call number of the manuscript on f.1a “233” on an added paper at the beginning of the work. On the same paper, there is a note says that the number of folios of this work is 107 (while it is 111). Binding: Dark brown leather decorated by small tools of central medallion and a frame, and decorated envelope flap tucked under the upper cover. There are two stubs in the inside of the covers which are brown leather decorated by vegetal shapes. The Catch-title is written on the edges of the work.
