Manuscript description
The title is written in black in squared shape (f.1a). In a majmūʿ which also contains the work of “Juwār al-Akhyār fī Dār al-Qarār” of Ibn Abī Ḥajla, and some sayings of ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib. Naskh script. The mistara is clear throughout the manuscript. Very extensive use of the margins which contain: several correction notes throughout the manuscript (and there is a muqābalah note which says that this manuscript was compared to a copy which has been reviewed by the author). Completion of sentences in the margins. There is a note on f.158a about the birth and death dates of the judge Zakī al-Dīn (al-Mīdūmī?) (839-873 AH). There is no tashkīl on the poetry verses after f.154b (unlike the earlier ones), and the ink is slightly different, but the handwriting is not different. Ownership statement in f.1a of Ibrahīm (al-Marqadī?). The Catch-title is written on the edges of the codex.
- Ownership Statement
Ownership statement in f.1a of Ibrahīm (al-Marqadī?). Stamp (most probably of Sultan Ahmet) (f.1a). TKSM stamp on f.1a.
- Colophon
Rawḍat al-Manāẓir ends on f.91b with the unnamed colophon of (most probably) the original work i.e. 838 AH. Colophon of ʿAlī b. ʿAlī (al-Dalāṣī?) al-Shāfiʿī in 865 AH on the work of “Juwār al-Akhyār fī Dār al-Qarār” f.158a. However, he is probably the copyist of the first work as well.
