He was ‘ustādh of Yalbughā al-Zaynī al-ʾAʿwar and Jānibak al-Nāṣirī Thawr. He was a ṣāḥib of Timurbughā al-ʾAfḍalī Minṭāsh. He was patron of Shaykh Ḥasan, ʿAbd al-Karīm b. Makānis, ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn ʿAlī al-Bīrī and Badr al-Dīn b. Maḥmūd. He was patron (ṣaḥaba) of ʾAlṭunbughā al-Jūbānī, ʾAlṭunbughā al-Muʿallim, Qarā Damurdāsh, Qardam al-Ḥasanī, ʾAqbughā al-Māridānī amongst many others.
He was baṭṭāl, ʾamīr silāḥ, ʾamīr 100 and ʾatābak ʿasākir in Egypt. He was nāʾib of Aleppo and nāʾib of Damascus in Syria.
