Minṭāsh then began to search out the remaining amirs and mamlūks who were al-Nāṣirī’s followers. On Shaʿbān 20 amir Qarā Damurdāsh al-ʾAḥmadī, amir of the arms, was captured, and by order of Minṭāsh was bound and imprisoned. The capture of many other amirs followed, including ʾAlṭunbughā al-Muʿallim, Kushlī al-Qalamṭāwī, ʾĀqbughā al-Jawharī, ʾAlṭunbughā al-ʾAshrafī, ʾĀqbughā al-ʿUthmānī, Fāris al-Ṣarghitmishī, Kumushbughā, Shaykh al-Yūsufī, and ʿAbdūq al-ʿAlāʾī; all were fettered and sent to the fortress of Alexandria, where they were then imprisoned.
