Minṭāsh then summoned the caliph al-Mutawakkil ʿalā Allāh, the cadis, the shaykh Sirāj al-Dīn ʿUmar al-Bulqīnī, and the leading jurists, who formulated a legal decision regarding the case of al-malik al-Ẓāhir Barqūq; but they then dispersed again without anything definite having been accomplished.
