وفي حادي عشرينه: قدم إلى القاهرة الشيخ شمس الدين محمد بن عطاء الله بن محمد بن محمود
الرازي الهروي، مدرس الصلاحية بالقدس، بعدما خرج الأمير ألطنبغا العثماني، فتلقاه وصعد إلى
السلطان بقلعة الجبل، فأقبل عليه السلطان وأكرمه، وأجلسه عن يمينه، وحضر مجتمعا كان عند
السلطان، هو وقاضي القضاة جلال الدين البلقيني. ثم انصرف إلى دار قد أعدت له، ورتب له في كل
يوم مبلغ مائتي درهم فلوساً، ومن اللحم قدر ثلاثين رطلاً، وأنعم عليه بفرس قد أسرج برج ذهب،
وبكثير من الثياب الفاخرة، وأهدى إليه كثير من أهل الدولة الهدايا الجليلة.

Shaykh Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad b. ʿAṭāʾAllāh b. Muḥammad b. Maḥmūd al-Rāzī al-Harawī, a teacher at the Sāliḥīya in Jerusalem, arrived in Cairo, after that amir ʾAlṭunbughā al-ʿUthmānī had left. He was received and went to the sultan at the citadel and the sultan received him and honoured him and made him seat at his right. Qaḍī al-quḍāt Jalāl al-Dīn al-Bulqīnī was present at this meeting with the sultan. Then he left to the house that was assigned to him and each day an amount of 200 filūs dinar and 30 raṭl of meat was assigned to him. A horse with a silver saddle was granted to him and many splendid clothes and many of the ʾahl al-dawla offered him nice presents.
