On the 15th, al-Harawī set out to return to Jerusalem, after presenting the sultan with a gift of around 500 dinars, the same as what he gave to the amirs. He plotted to take over the spending of that which he kept every year, worth 80,000 dinars, and fix for Jalāl al-Dīn b. al-Bulqīnī more than 80,000 dinars, and deliver in advance 5,000 dinars. He obliged him to write a rescript for all of that. He disavowed ever saying a thing about that, and his command grew weak. May God make him unsuccessful.
