وفي رابع عشره: نزل مرسوم السلطان إلى الهروي أن يخرج مما ثبت عليه، ويدفع إلى مستحقي وقف
الخليل مصالحة عما ثبت في جهته، لو عمل حسابه، لمدة مباشرته مبلغ ثلاثة آلاف دينار، فشرع في بيع
موجوده إلى يوم الثلاثاء نصفه، بعث السلطان من ثقاته أميراً إلى بيت الهروي، فأخذ منه ما تحت يده
من المال المأخوذ من أجناد الحلقة، وهو ألف ألف وستمائة ألف درهم فلوساً، فلم يوجد سوى ألف ألف
درهم، وقد تصرف في ستمائة ألف درهم عنها نحو ثلاثة آلاف دينار، فشنعت القالة عليه، واشتد غضب
السلطان منه، وبعث قاضي القضاة شمس الدين محمد الديري الحنفي إلى نواب الهروي، فمنعهم من
الحكم بين الناس، بمقتضي أنه ثبت فسقه، وحكم الفاسق لا ينفذ وولايته لا تصح عند الإمام الشافعي،
وهددهم متى حكموا بين الناس، فانكفوا عن الحكم.

An order of the sultan was sent to al-Harawī to give everything he had acquired and to pay to the beneficiaries of the waqf what he had taken from it, an amount calculated, for the period while he was in function, at 3000 dinar. He hurried to sell his supplies at Tuesday 15/03. The sultan sent a trustworthy amir to the house of al-Harawī, to take from him everything of the money of the soldiers of the ḥalqa that he controlled, 1600000 dirham filūs, and only 1000000 dirham was found, and 600000 dirham, more or less 3000 dinar had been spend and he was made responsible for the missing part.
The anger of the sultan against him augmented and he sent qāḍī al-quḍāt Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Dīrī al-Ḥanafī to the nuwwāb of al-Harawī to forbid them to speak justice between the common people because he had acted unlawfully, and the judgement of a sinner was not legally valid, nor his rule good for the Shafi’ite leader. They were threatened that, if they spoke justice between the common people, they would be rejected from the office.
