The seventh of the eleven niyābas of the mamlaka of Aleppo, which are inside the Syrian borders, belonging to the military wālīs al-ʾumūr. (tathqīf) Enrolled among the group of amirs of ten. One of the kātibs as-sirr of Aleppo informed me that it was sometimes joined to the nāʾib Baghrās, and that it was now in the hands of the son of the Turkman lord of ʾAlbāz. Its appointment comes from the nāʾib of Aleppo.
