شهر جمادى الآخرة، أوله الجمعة:
فيه صلى السلطان الجمعة بجامع ابن البارزي، الذي جدد عمارته، تجاه بيته. وكان يعرف قبل ذلك
بجامع الأسيوطي. وخطب به وصلى شيخ الإسلام قاضي القضاة جلال الدين البلقيني، وركب من الغد
إلى الميدان، فعمل به الخدمة، وتوجه إلى القلعة.

The sultan performed the Friday prayer in the mosque of Ibn al-Bārizī, who had restored the building, in front of his house, that had been known therefore as the ʾAsyūṭi mosque. Shaykh al-ʾIslām Qaḍī al-Quḍāt Jalāl al-Dīn al-Bulqīnī performed the prayer and held the sermon there and the next morning he went to the maydān to held the khidma there, and returned to the citadel.
