Then, the following day, i.e. Friday, al-Malik al-Muʾayyad performed the Friday prayer at the Jāmiʿ al-Nāṣirī at the Qalʿa, together with the amirs, as was the custom. Having finished the prayer, the favored amir Khushqadam al-Nāṣirī al-Muʾayyadī with the khilʿat al-ʾatābakīya, as was the custom.
The sultan then waited until Sunday 18/05, when he gave the amirs the nafaqat al-salṭana. He gave to the ʾamīr kabīr 4,000 dinars (in detail: 1,000 dinars because he had carried the qubba wa l-ṭayr over the sultan’s head on the day that he became sultan; the remainder as nafaqat al-salṭana).
He gave the ʾamīr silāḥ, Jarbāsh, and other amirs 100 who held a position, 2,500 dinars each.
To those amirs 100 who did not hold a position he gave 2,000 dinars each only.
All amirs 40 were given 500 dinars, and all amirs 10 were given 200 dinars.
