ثم بدا للسلطان بعد ذلك أن يقبض على الأمير بيدمر الخوارزمي نائب الشام فأرسل طاووسا البريدي للقبض عليه ورسم للأمير تمربغا المنجكي أن يتوجه على البريد لتقليد الأمير إشقتمر المارديني عوضه بنيابة الشام وكان إشقتمر بالقدس بطالا.
وقد تقدم أن إشقتمر هذا ولي نيابة حلب في أيام السلطان حسن الأولى ويلبغا أستاذ برقوق يوم ذاك خاصكي فانظر إلى تقلبات الدهر.

Then, the sultan (after the inauguration) decided to arrest amir Baydamur al-Khuwārizmī, governor of Syria, and he sent the courier Ṭāwūs to arrest him. And he ordered amir Tamurbughā to go by post horse to bring the diploma to amir Ishiqtamur al-Māridīnī, to replace him in the governorate of Syria. Ishiqtamur was without fonction in Jerusalem.
Ishiqtamur ruled the governorate of Aleppo during the first reign of sultan Ḥasan, and Yalbughā, master of Barqūq, was khāṣṣakī at that time. So, let’s look at the reversal of destiny.
