Then, in shawwāl 789, the sultan left Cairo to Siryāqūs, according to the annual custom. And he summoned amir Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī from the fortress of Damietta.

He arrived in Siryāqūs the 13 shawwāl 789, and kissed the ground before the sultan. The sultan honoured him and granted him with 100 horses, 100 camels, a lot of weapons, money and clothes, and other things, which value was 500 000 silver dirhams.
All the amirs gave him gifts, according to the custom, according to the situation of each one of them.

Then, on 1st dhū l-qaʿda, the sultan came back from Siryāqūs,

and on 5th dhū l-qaʿda 789 he gave a robe to Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī to be appointed as governor of Aleppo, as he used to be, in replacement of Sūdūn al-Muẓaffarī because Sūdūn al-Muẓaffarī was appointed ʾatābak of Aleppo. And he ordered him to prepare. This was the third governorship of Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī over Aleppo.
Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī restored his power, and prepared for his travel.

And he left on 8 dhū l-qaʿda 789 Cairo to Raydāniyya after the sultan gave him a robe of travel.

He left Raydāniyya the 9th in great pomp and a lot of bagage, and his musaffir was amir Jumaq son of amir ʾAytamish al-Bajāsī
