ثم في خامس عشر شعبان المذكور طلب السلطان الأمير الطواشي بهادر مقدم المماليك السلطانية فلم يجده بالقلعة ثم أحضر سكرانًا من بيت على بحر النيل فغضب السلطان عليه ونفاه إلى صفد على إمرة عشرة بها وأخلع على الطواشي شمس الدين صواب السعدي المعروف بشنكل الأسود بتقدمة المماليك السلطانية عوضًا عن بهادر المذكور واستقر الطواشي سعد الدين الشرفي في نيابة المقدم عوضًا عن شنكل المذكور.

Then, on 15 shaʿbān 790, the sultan summoned amir eunuch Bahādur, commandor of the sultanian mamlūks. He was not found in the citadel. Then, he was brought drunk from a house in the bank of the Nile. The sultan because of his anger banished him to Ṣafad as amir 10 there. And he gave a robe to the eunuch Shams al-Dīn Ṣawāb al-Saʿdī, known as Shankal al-Aswad to be promoted as commandor of the sultanian mamlūks, in replacement of Bahādur. He appointed the eunuch Saʿd al-Dīn al-Sharafī as vice-commandor in replacement of Shankal.
