وأصبح الأمير يلبغا الناصري بمكانه وهو يوم الاثنين خامس جمادى الآخرة من سنة إحدى وتسعين وسبعمائة وندب الأمير منطاش في جماعة كبيرة إلى القلعة فسار منطاش إلى قلعة الجبل في جموعه وطلع إلى الإسطبل السلطاني فنزل إليه الخليفة المتوكل على الله أبو عبد الله محمد وسار مع منطاش إلى الناصري بقية النصر حتى نزل بمخيمه فقام الناصري إليه وتلقاه وأجلسه بجانبه ووانسه بالحديث.

The next morning, Monday, II jumādā 5, 791, Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī, still in his former position, sent amir Minṭāsh in command of a large detachment to the citadel. Minṭāsh proceeded with his force and ascended to the royal stable. The caliph al-Mutawakkil Muḥammad then came down and accompained Minṭāsh to al-Nāṣirī at Qubbat al-Naṣr; when he alighted at his tent al-Nāṣirī rose to meet him, sat him by his side and conversed with him cordially.
