Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī then descended to the royal stables, which were his residence, and invested amir Ḥusām al-Dīn Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī ibn al-Kūrānī with hos former office of wālī of Cairo, an appointment with which men were greatly pleased. Other appointments were vizier Karīm al-Dīn ibn ʿAbd al-Razzāq ibn ʾIbrāhīm ibn Makānis to be counselor of finances; his brother Fakhr al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān to continue as controller of finances; and another brother, Zayn al-Dīn, to be controller of imposts.
