هذا والعامة لأخذ النشاب من على الأرض وتأتي به منطاش وهو يتقرب منهم ويترفق لهم ويقول لهم: أنا واحد منكم وأنتم إخواننا وأصحابنا وأشياء كثيرة من هذه المقولة هذا وهم يبذلون نفوسهم في خدمته ويتلاقطون النشاب من الرميلة مع شدة رمي الناصري عليهم من القلعة.

In the meanwhile the populace continued to gather arrows from the ground and carry them to Minṭāsh, while he ingratiated himself with them and spoke to them with flattery, saying, ‘I am but one of you and you are our brothers and friends”, and making other remarks of that nature. They on their part exerted themselves to the utmost to be of service to him and despite the intensity of Al-Nāṣirī’s fire upon them from the citadel collected arrows for him in the Rumayla Place.
