ثم أنعم السلطان على الأمراء القادمين من الشام لكل أمير مائة ومقدم ألف بفرس بقماش ذهب، ولمن عداهم بأقبية، ورتب لهم اللحم والجامكيات والعليق، وأخذ منطاش يستعطفهم بكل ما تصل إليه القدرة.

Then, the amirs of 100 and commandors of 1000 who had come from Syria were each given by the sultan a horse with a gold saddlecloth, while the other amirs were given crupper cloths; he also assigned to them rations of meat and fodder and Minṭāsh did his utmost to win their favor.
