ثم قدمت الأمراء ما خلا أسندمر بن يعقوب شاه من تجريدة الصعيد ومعهم المماليك الظاهرية الذين كانوا خرجوا عن الطاعة بقوص مقيدين، فخلع منطاش على الأمراء، وأخذ المماليك وغرق منهم جماعة في النيل ليلاً، وأخرج بستة من الجب بالقلعة موتى خنقاً.

The amirs who had gone on the campaign to Upper Egypt then arrived, with the exception of ʾAsandamur ibn Yaʿqūb Shāh; with them were, in shackles, the mamlūks ẓāhirīya who had rebelled in Qūṣ. Minṭāsh bestowed robes on the amirs, and drowned a number of the mamlūks in the Nile at night.; six others who were taken out from their dungeon were found to have been strangled to death.
