محمود أستادار - أعوام بضع وتسعين وسبعمائة - أربعة عشر ألف نول ونيف، شتت أهلها ظلم ولاة الأمور وسوء سيرتهم.

The silk weavers in Alexandria were counted and the weaving considered. It amounted to 800 nawl, after what their number had been in the days of Maḥmūd ʾUstādār, around the year 790, when there were some 14,000 nawl. Tyranny of the officials and the wickedness of their conduct scattered its people.
